Privacy policy for this website
What 3laps.com collects, who else sees it, and why there is no cookie banner. The apps are covered separately — and they collect nothing at all.

This policy covers the website at 3laps.com (and threelaps.com, which redirects to it). It does not cover the apps. Each app has its own policy, and the difference matters: the apps collect nothing and make no network calls of their own, while this website counts how many people visit it.
It counts them without cookies and without identifying anyone, which is why you were not asked to dismiss a banner on the way in. Final Lap’s policy is here.
Who is responsible
3laps, a sole proprietorship run by the developer of the apps. For anything in this policy, including a request about your data, email [email protected].
What this site collects today
Nothing. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party scripts, and no cookies of any kind. No measurement tool is switched on in this build, so no request leaves your browser except for this site’s own pages, fonts and images.
This is a statement about the current build, not a placeholder. When measurement is switched on it will be Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless, storing nothing on your device — and this page will name it and its retention period, with the date at the top changed to match.
What is recorded even so
Your browser is served pages, fonts and images from this site’s own domain. Standard web server logs may briefly record the request — IP address, time, page, user agent — as part of ordinary operation and abuse protection by the hosting provider. Those logs are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with anything else.
Why there is no cookie banner
Not an oversight, and not a loophole. The rule that requires a banner — the ePrivacy Directive as implemented across the EU and UK, and the consent provisions of the GDPR and India’s DPDP Act 2023 — is triggered by storing or reading information on your device, and by processing personal data on the basis of consent. This site does neither.
So there is no permission to ask for. Showing a banner anyway would be theatre: one more thing to dismiss, in exchange for nothing you did not already have. If that ever stops being true — if a tool arrives that sets a cookie or builds a profile — the banner comes back before the tool does, default-denied, with refusing exactly as easy as accepting.
What we deliberately do not do
- No cookies, and no client-side storage standing in for cookies.
- No advertising network, retargeting pixel, or data broker.
- No selling or sharing of personal data. There is nothing to sell.
- No third-party fonts. Typefaces are served from this domain, so no font CDN sees your visit.
- No embedded video, social widgets, or comment systems.
- No fingerprinting, and no attempt to identify you across sites or devices.
Mailing list
There is no mailing list yet. When there is one, it will be double opt-in — you enter an address, we email you to confirm it is yours, and nothing is sent until you click that link. Every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe, and the address will not be used for anything you did not ask for. An email address is personal data, so that one really does need consent, and it will be asked for properly.
Legal bases
Where the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or India’s DPDP Act 2023 applies:
- Legitimate interests for aggregate, cookieless visit counts, and for keeping the site up and protecting it from abuse. No personal data is processed to produce the counts, and no device storage is involved, so consent is not the applicable basis.
- Consent for any future mailing list — freely given, specific, informed, and withdrawable at any time without penalty.

Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, or ask for a copy. Email [email protected] and you will get a reply from a person.
In practice the honest answer to “what do you hold about me” is nothing we could connect to you — the counts are aggregate and carry no identifier, so there is no record to look you up in. The right stands regardless, and so does the obligation to answer plainly. If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that introduces anything stored on your device also introduces a consent request, because a page you read once is not a permission you gave.
