Final Lap privacy policy
What Final Lap does with your information, in plain words. The short version is that it does not have any of it.

Final Lap is made by 3laps, a sole proprietorship run by the app’s
developer. This policy covers the Final Lap iOS app
(com.threelaps.finallap) and its widgets. The 3laps website has its own,
different policy — see What the website does
below, because the difference is real and we would rather state it than
let you discover it.
The whole of it
Final Lap collects no personal data. There is no account to create, no email address to give, no sign-in, no profile, and no analytics or advertising code anywhere in the app. Nothing you enter is transmitted to 3laps, and 3laps operates no server that Final Lap talks to.
This is not a policy choice that could quietly change next release. It is how the app is built: it makes no network requests of its own at all.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you create — your routines, the items in them, which days each item applies to, your leave times, and the record of past departures — is stored on your device, in the app’s own storage.

When you delete the app, all of it goes with it. There is no copy anywhere else to ask us to delete.
iCloud sync, if you turn it on
Subscribers can turn on sync so routines follow them between their own devices. Sync uses CloudKit’s private database — that is your iCloud account, under your Apple Account, subject to Apple’s privacy policy. 3laps has no access to the private database and cannot read, export, or recover anything in it. We could not hand it over if we were asked to.
Sync is off unless you turn it on, and turning it off leaves your data on the device as before.
Notifications
The leave nudge is a local notification, scheduled by the app on your device. It is not a push notification, there is no push server, and scheduling one sends nothing anywhere.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment details never pass through Final Lap and 3laps never sees them. What 3laps receives from Apple is the ordinary App Store sales reporting: aggregate counts of subscriptions by territory, with no way to identify a subscriber. Apple’s handling of a purchase is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Children
Final Lap collects nothing from anyone, of any age, so there is nothing specific it does for children — but for the avoidance of doubt: it knowingly collects no data from children under 13, or under 16 where that is the applicable age, because it collects no data from anyone.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, portability and objection are rights worth having, and they apply to data a company holds about you. 3laps holds none. Your data is on your device, in your hands, and deleting the app deletes it.
If you want to check that claim rather than take our word for it, put the phone in airplane mode. Everything except sync and purchases works exactly the same.
What the website does
3laps.com — the site you are reading this on — is a separate surface from
the app, and it does one thing the app never does: it counts visits, so
we can tell whether anyone is interested in what we are making.
It counts them without cookies. Nothing is stored on your device, no identifier is kept, and there is no profile — which is why you were not handed a consent banner on the way in. The details are in the site privacy policy and the cookie policy.
Nothing the website does touches the app. The app still collects nothing at all, which remains the stronger claim of the two.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and any change that affects what the app collects will be described here rather than folded silently into a release.
